To My Children, On the Spirit of Abundance.
Child of my blood, child of my hope,
Lean close to the fire. Hear the voice not only in my words, but in the silence between them. I see you striving, your brow furrowed like a freshly plowed field, your hands worn from grasping. You have been taught that abundance is a mountain to be climbed with bleeding feet. I am here to tell you a deeper truth, one carried in the marrow of our bones: Abundance is not a destination. It is a living Spirit.
It moves like the wind, flows like the river, and breathes in the space between the stars and the soil. It is the same force that caused the first seed to split open toward the sun, that guided our people to the healing herb, that placed the story on the elder’s tongue at the exact moment it was needed.
You do not chase this Spirit. You align with it.
How? Listen with the ears of your soul:
First Law: The Spirit of Abundance flows toward gratitude, not lack. It is repelled by the bitter scent of "never enough." It is drawn to the warm hearth of "look what is already here." Give thanks for the breath in your lungs, the water from the well, the memory of a kindness. In that act of thanksgiving, you become a vessel, and a vessel held open is ready to receive more.
Second Law: The Spirit mirrors your inner garden. What you nurture within, you attract without. If you cultivate thoughts of scarcity, competition, and fear, you grow thorns that snag the flow. If you cultivate generosity of spirit, creativity, and faith in the unseen order, you bloom with a fragrance that draws provision to you. Tend your inner soil.
Third Law: The Spirit moves through circulation, not hoarding. A river that stops flowing becomes a stagnant pond. What you cling to, withers in your hand. The ancient way is to give the first fruit, to share the story, to offer your gift freely. This is not loss; it is an announcement to the universe that you trust the flow. You are a channel, not a dam. As you release, you create space for the river to bring new gifts to your shore.
Fourth Law: The Spirit responds to sacred action, not exhausting labor. There is a difference between the grind that drains your soul and the purpose-filled work that makes your spirit hum. Align your hands with your heart's true call. When you do what brings you alive, you become a magnet for the Spirit of Abundance. It meets you in that joy, that alignment, and conspires to support you.
Fifth Law: The Spirit speaks through wisdom, not desperate want. Be still. Listen. The guidance for your next step, the intuitive nudge, the unexpected opportunity—these are the whispers of the Spirit. Frantic grasping makes you deaf to them. Walk in trust. Know that the same intelligence that orchestrates the seasons knows your needs.
So, lay down the heavy tool of relentless grinding. It was never our way.
Instead, stand tall and open your arms. Cultivate a grateful heart. Tend your inner world. Give from a place of trust. Move with purpose, not panic. Listen for the whisper.
The Spirit of Abundance has always been here. It is in the blood that courses through you, a lineage of survivors who understood the deep, giving rhythms of the Earth. You are not separate from the flow; you are a conscious part of it.
Align with the Spirit, and let provision find you, as naturally as the river finds the sea.
Walk in this knowing.
Ase.
And so it is.
