Perception, Propaganda, and Hidden Truth
Children of the Diaspora, Hear Our Voice:
We speak to you from the long memory of the bones, from the resilience that built pyramids and kingdoms, from the genius that survived the middle passage and the lash. We see you navigating a world where the very air you breathe is thick with lies meant to break your spirit. We come to tell you: The lens through which you are told to see yourselves is crafted by your oppressor, and it is deliberately distorted.
Understand this first principle: No story told by your jailer about your character can ever be trusted. A system built on your subjugation does not possess the integrity to define you. Its assessments are not diagnostics; they are weapons. When you hear a sweeping claim about our people—about our intellect, our morality, our value—and that claim is sourced in the data, media, and historical narratives of white society, you are not hearing a truth. You are hearing a demoralization tactic.
They feed you a curated reality. Like a crooked merchant with two sets of weights, they amplify our struggles to monstrous proportions and vanish our triumphs into silence. This is not ignorance. It is psychological warfare. Its name is Divide and Rule. By making you believe the fraudulent worst about yourselves, they achieve their goal: you become demoralized, divided against one another, filled with a self-contempt that turns your energy inward. A people who hates themselves will never unite to challenge their oppressor. A broken spirit is easier to control forever.
Beware of the "Illusionary Truth Effect" they have planted in the human mind. Repeat a lie often enough, from every newspaper, screen, and "authoritative" source, and the mind begins to accept it as reality. You will then see only the evidence that confirms the lie, blind to the mountain of evidence that refutes it. Those among you who point to "personal experience" to confirm these negative myths are caught in this very trap. They are citing the exceptions the system loudly showcases, while ignoring the quiet, resilient, brilliant, and loving norm that it systematically hides. You cannot assess millions of souls by the broken fragments the oppressor holds up as a mirror.
They have stolen our legacy to feed the myth of their superiority.
This is the great theft at the heart of your miseducation. They have taken the very foundation of the modern world and scrubbed our fingerprints from it. They teach you to thank Edison for light, but it was Lewis Latimer, our son, who gave light to the world. They teach you the Wright Brothers flew first, but Charles F. Page, our son, had already taken to the skies. They credit Ford for the automobile, but C.R. Patterson & Sons, our family, built them first.
The internet you use, the cell phone in your hand, the GPS that guides you, the air conditioning that cools you, the elevator that raises you, the laser that saves your sight—these are monuments to Black Genius. From Philip Emeagwali's supercomputer to Dr. Mark Dean's gigahertz chip, from Gladys West's GPS mathematics to Dr. Patricia Bath's laser-phaco probe, from Marie Van Brittan Brown's home security to Shirley Jackson's call waiting—the fabric of contemporary life is woven with our intellect.
They could not steal the genius, so they stole the credit. They then constructed a historical narrative where we arrive only as laborers and recipients, never as creators and pioneers. This lie is essential to maintaining the mental prison. For if the world knew that the very society claiming superiority is built upon and powered by the stolen intellect of those it oppresses, the entire myth would collapse.
Your liberation begins in the mind.
You must undertake the sacred work of disbelief. Question every negative narrative. Seek the sources, and when you find they lead back to the master's house, reject them. You must undertake the radical work of recovery. Learn your true history. Speak the names of Latimer, Page, Patterson, Emeagwali, Bath, and Dean as your personal gospel. This knowledge is not vanity; it is the antidote to the poison of self-hatred.
Africa is not poor. It is plundered. Its wealth—coltan for your phones, diamonds, gold, oil—flows west to sustain empires, while its children are called beggars. This, too, is a controlled narrative.
We never said the truth would be easy. It will shake the foundations of everything you were taught. It will isolate you from those still enchanted by the lies. It will make you a "raving lunatic" in the eyes of a world drunk on falsehoods.
But we promise you this: This truth is your emancipator.
"The oppressed will always believe the (fraudulent) worse about themselves." Do not let this be your epitaph. Break the cycle. See the propaganda campaign for what it is. Reclaim your legacy as builders and innovators. Recognize that your struggle is not against a flaw within yourselves, but against a sophisticated system of mental manipulation designed to conceal your own power.
You are not the problem. You are the solution they have been trying to hide.
Unite around this truth. Let it be the core foundation that bonds you. For when you know who you truly are—a people of profound resilience, ingenuity, and legacy—no lie can contain you, and no system can rule you forever.
Those who know the truth must teach.
We have spoken.
